Gerry Tuten's work is a stammering, a seeking, a venture inside and outside of herself. She thrives on change and challenge in her painting. Intensely curious, she loves exploring the micro and macro levels of the natural ecology. When the image begins to "break up" in her process, her excitement rises. She then transfers this excitement and freedom to the viewer through movement of the paint.
Her intention is to communicate, seek truth and express herself in paint with integrity. Her passion for the healing potential of art has deep roots in her own personal experience.
