Carspecken Scott is proud to announce that it is now an authorized dealer of the finest line of art lighting available in the United States -- Academy Light.
Now, for a surprisingly reasonable cost, you can have the same lighting that The Frick Collection in New York chose to display its works. Academy Light relies on low-voltage tungsten-halogen lamps to deliver optimum color rendering through the use of patented reflectors with soft-edged beams. The distribution of light over the painting’s surface can be fine-tuned with various rotations and permutations in each fixture, which protects those who view the painting from glare.
The Academy Light is unrivalled by other seemingly similar fixtures due to its
technologically advanced, low-voltage picture lights that provide an
unsurpassed level of high performance. Why? The miniature, tungsten halogen lamps (bulbs) are powered at only 12 volts and have the distinct advantage of rendering true colors, having been designed to allow the use of both capsule lamps
for smaller artwork and dichroic (MR11) lamps for larger artwork.
